I live the best of both worlds.
For over 11 years, I’ve worn the Army uniform proudly — from enlisting in the Illinois Army National Guard at 18 as a Military Police Officer, to commissioning as a Human Resources Officer in the Army Reserve. The Army taught me discipline, purpose, and resilience — but it also showed me that service comes in many forms.
🪖 While serving, I’ve pursued my passion for understanding people by earning my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, with an emphasis in Family Social Services and a minor in Psychology and Military Science. Along with my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I currently have my Associate license and working towards my full licensure.
Outside of the uniform, I’ve dedicated my career to mental-health care. I have worked as a Direct Support Professional for about five years. I currently work in an inpatient behavioral-health hospital, 🏥 supporting individuals who are struggling with suicidal thoughts and severe mental illness. I also work in an outpatient Family Service Agency as a therapist in the Center for Counseling. 🛋️
💫 And then there’s my creative side — the part of me that loves storytelling, connection, and creating content that makes people feel seen.
Through Live with Jamye and That Reserve CPT, I’ve built spaces that blend my two worlds — mental health and military life. I love sharing real stories about growth, healing, and purpose. 💌
My goal is to bring it all together: to help people find balance, tell their stories, and chase the life they deserve — whether that’s through a coaching session, a heartfelt letter, or a video that reminds you you’re not alone.
